Children's Work : Mrs Bruce Class 2
It has been an exciting and interesting term so far and all the KS2 children continue to make us very proud by producing quality work across the curriculum and participating fully in the many extra curricular activities school offers. They work as a team, both inside and outside the classroom, and display a very responsible and caring attitude towards each other and younger members of the school family.
Their story setting and character descriptions undertaken in Literacy are well worth reading and their fruit shape poems tempt the appetite. The children are now looking forward to modelling clay into popular fruits and producing related detailed observational drawings. Accompanying power point presentations give concise advice on 'Healthy Eating'. We are certainly a health conscious school.

Outside lessons the pupils have been fantastic school ambassadors whilst escorting visitors around school on Open Days, delivering harvest baskets in the village, paying their respects at the Cenotaph on Remembrance Day and visiting other schools. Their organisational skills shone through as they planned a 'Harvest Tea' for family and friends and delivered a stimulating curriculum for all on 11 Million Takeover Day. Their enthusiastic approach created great excitement as groups of children moved round school to participate in mini beast hunting, bird watching and a mini topic on dinosaurs. Many have also found the energy to attend our two weekend 'Jobs Days' to develop the outdoor areas.
What will they be involved in next?
