Bramham Primary School

Remembrance Day

As part of our Remembrance Day activities the children all walked down to the Cenotaph in Bramham Village. We arrived at the Cenotaph for 11am, where we were met by Rev. Stanley Menzies, who conducted the service.  Jake and Lauren laid a British Legion wreath in remembrance of all those who have died and continue to die in search for world peace. Miss Wilson's class made their own wreaths made from paper and proudly placed these  in memory of the lives lost. Rosie and Emma ended the service with a prayer. This was well supported by parents and local villagers. Thank you for attending and helping the children to remember the lives of those lost fighting for our country.

Lord

Please protect and keep safe our soldiers in these times of terror.

Please give them the strength and courage to do the best job that they can and to return home to the arms of their loved ones.

We love you all and know that you are strong both physically and mentally.

You are great men and women.

I pray that your guardian angels are with you always and protect your steps.

My thoughts and prayers are with those of you working hard and standing brave to protect the rest of us. I am grateful that there are those out there who would sacrifice as you are sacrificing, to ensure the freedom of many who will never completely understand nor appreciate the importance.

" We went for a walk to the cross.

Emma and Rosie said a prayer and lots of Mum's and Dad's came."
