Message from Miss. Richardson:

If you have been into the school this week you will know what a busy place our school continues to be with many visitors such as our Silver Surfers and Mums and toddlers group.

However, if you called in on Tuesday afternoon you would have met some new visitors to our school who were visiting Mrs. Jones' class. Three pupils from Boston Spa High School agreed to call in and talk to pupils in Year 5 & 6 about what life is like as a Year 7 pupil at Boston Spa School. Everyone was very interested and enjoyed the visit. It really gave our pupils a taste of what they could expect when they move onto their new High Schools.

Elsewhere in school there continues to be lots of activity as usual. The children in Miss.Wilsons' Class went on a mini beast walk around the school grounds and looked under logs and bushes to find as many different types as possible. Having gathered these together, they then carried out research on them, as part of their Science curriculum. Miss.Wilson has also purchased a mini beast kit which contains Butterfly Catterpillars which the children are observing as they change into Butterflies. If you feel brave enough to come into Saturn Class our children will be pleased to show you their findings!

Mrs.Bruces' Class have been very busy getting to know Mrs.Howard, who is covering for Mrs. Bruce while she is away. If you have the time, do please pop in and say hello to Mrs. Howard. She has carried out supply work for us before and therefore, knows many of the pupils. However, if you have any concerns, please call into school at any time so that we can address these quickly.

It is with regret that I have to announce the closure of our gardening club for the forseeable future. Unfortunatley due to ill health and other commitments, Mrs. Janusz and Mrs. Goddard will be unable to continue running it, although they will continue to support Bramham in Bloom by maintaining the sponsored school flowerbed. They would like to acknowledge the determination and enthusiasm the Little Seedlings have played over the last few years in making the school grounds so attractive.

If any parents would like to make the commitment to run the club then please contact me. In the meantime have a lovely Bank Holiday Weekend and we look forward to seeing everyone on Tuesday 6th May.
